The concept and plot of this book was really unique and exciting, and I was really drawn to the girl with many faces aspect to it! I wish the pace was a little faster, because I felt like this was supposed to feel a lot more action packed and snappy, but it felt more like a very slowly unwinding deep dive into our main character, Nora. I still found the characters fun and intriguing and the ending did surprise me, but just a little slow for me.

Oh my goodness. This book. Wow. I cannot even find the words to how simply incredible this reading experience was. The pacing was so gripping and fast to get through as every chapter had me hanging on for more. The jumps back and forth I thought would be confusing were actually very easy to follow and further amplified the reading experience as you unravelled more of Nora's pasts and also her present, starting to piece together how each of her names impacted her. I just loved this book.

This book did not work for so many reasons. The premise hooked me, so I was excited to read this. Boy, was I disappointed. One word comes to mind while reading this book: vague. Every plot point was VAGUE! I had to assume and guess my way through this whole book. I felt like I kept walking into the middle of a private conversation in which I had no context. The story was told all over the place, and all the characters’ conversations were not explained until way later. I did not like the main character. Most of the book was her describing what a badass she was (she was not) or maybe she was, but she gave such vague detail of her past “cons” that I just didn’t care. The denouement for the bank robbery was so anti climatic, not to mention random and forgotten. The ending was, you guessed it, vague. Hopefully, the Netflix movie that is apparently coming out will be better.
