I’m surprised how others have rated this. I thought the ending was fantastic. I thought the characters were all well-written and thoroughly developed, and their conflicts were fascinating. I keep in mind that this is YA, and should be judged as such. It’s also a villain origin story- I don’t know if I would recommend it for people who aren’t has obsessed with The Hunger Games trilogy as I am! I will certainly be re reading this one every few years, as I do the trilogy.

Really slow, even though it’s a prequel. I feel like I did not get a strong sense of why Coriolanus is the way that he is in the original trilogy until the last 100 pages.

This was a bit of a disappointing read for me. It was too slow paced and I found Snow so deeply unlikable that I had a hard time being in his head. It does pick up in the last third though.
