As someone with pure o ocd I was so excited to read a book that was about my non traditional form of the disorder. I found myself relating to so many things the main character went through... that was until the twist at the end. The twist took the book from being relatable to be taking the Hollywood route of misrepresenting mental disorders. If the book was marketed as just a story about mental illness maybe I would not have been so upset, but it’s not. This is supposed to be about a lesser known form of ocd, now those who know nothing about the disorder besides what is told in this book believe that everyone with the type is on the brink of a psychotic episode... very disappointed. This was so close to being a 5 star read.
