This is a pretty bland start to the SiKtC saga. I am hoping it will get better because i went and purchased the first 7 volumes because I believed the hype.

There's not much to say that is not already said on the cover.
The illustrations are not great, sometimes confusing.

As high quality as The Woods was, this is a fantastic start to what I hope will be an incredible series.

I got a lot of Buffy The Vampire Slayer vibes from this an that is a good thing, but it was also unique in its mystery and lore.

The only downside for me was the creature design, which I found pretty generic.
