I went into this knowing I wasn't the target demographic, since it's about being a middle aged woman, but because I like Caitlin Moran it was still pretty entertaining. I'm sure like many people my age, How To Be A Woman was the first book about feminism I read and in comparison this one felt less radical, probably because I've read a such diverse range of feminist voices since then. I enjoyed it more as a memoir than as a manifesto because there were quite a few chapters which didn't really resonate with me. For example, her discussions of heterosexual marriage and raising children don't align with my life. I really like her writing style though and it still felt worth the read. There were some tender, funny moments and she writes really movingly about her daughter's eating disorder.
