Probably one of the most essential books one has to read in their lifetime.
I did really like this, it's just hard for me to get through one-chapter-a-day books. I want to get a book done quickly and then move on! Great quotes!
The first time I read this was I think back in the early 2000s and even as I've grown and learned, it's still just as helpful, encouraging, and challenging. Historically, I do not ever do well with one of these read-a-chapter a day books, as it takes too long and I lose interest halfway through, but still there are such good 'underlineable' nuggets of wisdom in here.
I took my time and read no more than one chapter a day. I had to commit to finish this book because I’ve started it several times and then quit. I did really enjoy it. I like how it really explained how we as Christians should be servants.
Very motivational and highly inspiring. I thoroughly plan to re-read Rick Warren's The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here for?. The book enhanced my relationship with God and I am more confident in my purpose and my plans for the future. I recommend this to all.
I journaled while reading the book. Sermons for chapters were time consuming but helpful. I sometimes got more from the sermon than the reading,I liked the chapter about reflecting on if God offered you 15 years added to your life, like Hekiziah how would you respond, this book probably can be read annually

Overall I really enjoyed all the practical lessons this book taught me. And if you spend more time pondering on the points and questions you can definitely get a lot out of it.
I did not agree with everything but it definitely teaches you to always draw your attention back to God.
To please God instead of pleasing man.
And it will remind you that we were not created to glorify ourselves but to glorify God.
It also addresses the trap of envy and people pleasing.
