Oh. My.
Disturbingly creepy.
And so good.
But so creepy.

Creepy, intense little book. The Coraline comparisons are spot on.
Quite the page turner... Great for middle school students who enjoy suspenseful stories.
Strange and creepy but I couldn't stop reading. If you have a healthy fear of hornets and wasps, do not pick this one up. :)
Oh my gosh. This was horrifying. But really good. In a horrifying sort of way.
So spooky and good. I seriously jumped in a few places, I was that hooked. Definitely a must read for horror fans ready to move up from Goosebumps!
This book caught my attention on the shelf because of the cover. I loved it! This book was very imaginative and creative. I was not sure where the story was going with wasps that talk or a sick a baby. It was a interesting book. I thought it was just the right size not too much, but just a quick read too. I do not like wasps that much so I wanted to see how this book ended. I enjoyed it.
I wanted to like this more, and I think it's probably a better younger reads chapter book than I'm giving it credit for, it just didn't quite land with me. A changeling story wrapped in a wasp's nest, some of the themes are too heavy handed while some are too underdeveloped for me to really feel at home here. But then, Coraline didn't land quite right for me, either. I'm probably just not the right reader for this.
ETA IDK whether to bump this up a star or not now that there's suddenly a perfectly baby-sized hornet's nest outside my bedroom window with clear exit damage.
