i’m disappointed. extremely disappointed. i love second chance romance. i love ex high school sweethearts finding their way back together. i especially love it when it’s angsty, and when they keep seeing each other / sleeping together over the years

that being said ? that book was LACKING. i couldn’t figure out why these two were hurting themselves this badly, trying to make this relationship work out. maybe because we didn’t see much of the good moments. why are they constantly running back to each other and she’s tattooing her heartbreak on herself and he’s sleeping with the whole town never forming an attachment ? WHY
also why delilah she being this cruel to seth for no reason? telling him he doesn’t belong, telling him she’s never loved him? legit out of the blue because she’s a little upset

i don’t understand anything about this book but i for sure wasn’t rooting for the main couple

One Last Time is a massive book - spanning over a lifetime of love, heartache, and all of those beautiful Loveless brothers.

Seth Loveless has felt like the black sheep on the relationship train within his family for a long time. Strangely enough, he is also the brother who had a long time girlfriend a long time ago. IKR!! Unfortunately, he had his heart broken by said girlfriend and they have both been spirling on a toxic downward cycle everytime she calls and all I'll say is it never ends well.

Delilah (honestly, I love that her name is Delilah and also the ex-girlfriend) is drawn to Seth who is both her kryptonite and her sun. She can't quite seem to quit the man who hurts her over and over again, but honestly she's not exempt from the blame game herself. Is it truly possible to start over and give their toxic relationship one last try?

While this concept could be the second, third, fourth...however many times they've walked down this path...if they truly struck out the toxic times and gave themselves a clean slate without all the hurt, anger, guilt, etc...it is the only way to truly begin and start over. Living in the past never solves problems, sure it can guide you to make sure you don't step on the landmines that blew it up in the first place, but living in toxicity only makes it so you breath in the poison over and over again.

One Last Time be seen as a guide on what NOT to do in a relationship, but more than that it is a lovely look at how Seth and Delilah actually did love one another, it was just buried under hurt, which they took out on each other over and over again.

One Last Time does weave in and out through the past, which was fun to "run" into the past timelines of the other Loveless brothers, but also know it is also not necessary to have read the other books to know their stories because Roxie gives us enough of a background to know who and what is happening to not get lost.

Seth and Delilah are so real, especially dealing with their relationship, so this contemporary may touch you on a personal level.
