One of my favorite things about this book was not one of the short stories had a happy ending, and that’s sometimes how life happens. Things don’t always work out to our advantage and sometimes… really bad things happen.
My favorite stories in this collection were Sex, Death and Starshine, Dread, New Murders in the Rue Morgue, The Skins of the Father, Son of Celluloid and Scape-Goats.

Not sure I really have anything profound to add to the Books of Blood conversation. I really enjoyed this collection - actually even more than I thought I would. This is a deeply disturbing and weird collection of short stories. I enjoyed some stories slightly more than others, but overall thought this was a great collection. Each story is distinct and has a different voice but the writing is really good throughout. Highly recommend if you like fucking weird stuff.
