Gosh, it is exceptionally hard not to fall in love with Eddie Winston. In his 90s, Eddie has never kissed a woman. Upon meeting a young woman who has recently lost her boyfriend, he sets out to rectify this, with her help.

I have read the "old man gets a new lease on life" book before. Even when done well, the montage seems very much the same: new young friend teaches old man about social media (or cell phones, or the internet), old man is wise even beyond his years (or curmudgenly, or nearing death). It was very fun to see a fresh take. Eddie is just... a sweet man. He has a unique style. He owns a guinea pig. Bella is not his savior, but truly, his friend. And he is, truly, hers. It is genuinely just so heartwarming.

Eddie Winston Is Looking for Love is like a warm hug with a little splash of chaos. Eddie is awkward, endearing, and trying his best—and watching him navigate the dating world is equal parts hilarious and heart-tugging. The supporting characters are lovable messes too, and the dialogue is laugh-out-loud funny in places.

It’s the kind of rom-com where you root for the underdog and feel all the feels by the end. A quirky, charming read with just the right amount of heart. 💘📚 I needed this heartwarming book after a slew of disappointing reads.
