A ghost story set in the 1920s about a young black girls move from the Jim Crow south to Philadelphia.
An emotional story about racism, family and unfinished business. Ophie is a great character trying to keep her head down but keeps getting tangled into the mess of the dead.

This is my third Justina Ireland book & I cannot get enough! I love her twist on things! Great story & not too scary for younger readers. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator is fantastic.
