Ugh. I'm SO disappointed! Lets be honest this was half a book, not a complete one. I loved this story, I loved the main character and the concept. I was truly engaged and couldn't read it fast enough. I was so invested in the characters and all the different storylines. And then when we were finally getting to the good part I felt like someone ripped it away from me, right in the middle of the book. I understand cliffhangers and when used properly I can appreciate them, but in order to effectively utilize a cliffhanger you have to close out AT LEAST one plot line. This book had several different plot lines and not a single one was resolved, which in turn leaves the reader with nothing. It leaves the reader just standing there feeling ghosted by the author. When you don't give the reader at least SOME resolution to hang on to it can lead then to feel shorted and resentful, like me LOL. By the time the next book comes out I will have forgotten everything this one setup and I will have already gotten over my love for the characters. When it comes to reading distance does not make the heart grow fonder, it makes the heart forget.
If this had been a complete book it would have been 5 stars no doubt, but now I'm just sitting here so bummed I didn't get to finish it.
