Though I take issue with the liberties the Author took with the story, it is still a good book. That being said, it seems strange that he would go out of his way to incorporate gameplay parts that have no true storyline merit, but remove gameplay elements that have a lot of storyline to them. Plus, there were some things story wise that "Mr. Bowden" changed that just didn't need changing. I sincerely hope that if books are made to tell the stories of Connor and Desmond, they do not enlist the same author. Given his historical European influence, I just do see a reason to, anyway...

It really is incredible how the creators of Assassin's Creed managed to intertwine the story of the Assassin Brotherhood into significant historical events and figures. By far the best game to novel series I have read, even though in some aspects it wasn't very well written. The use of different languages set a nice atmosphere for the different cultures and the revolutionary period; although many phrases were not translated in the glossary which was a shame. I noticed that the word 'unmolested' was a bit overused and would not be my choice of word to have used in many situations. But other than that, one of the best in the series and was a improvement compared to The Secret Crusades. Can't wait for the next book and game!

Such a good ending for the Ezio story. I wish there was a bit more for him training the new girl, but I guess it all worked out in the end.

A nice ending to Ezios arc, and followed on well from the 2 previous Ezio books.
