I read this as a Remender fan. I really don't know enough about X-Men to appreciate it. It was interesting though.

Re-read this because I finally found volume 2 and I can finish the story.

Coming back to this after a year and I have a whole new appreciation for it. It's one of the best X-books, period.

The art is still too dark for my taste but I love the action shots. The plot, the dialogue, everything in this collection is fantastic. Here's hoping Volume 2 is just as good.

I was with this initially then it just got too long and ambitious. Deadpool and Wolverine helped keep my interest but once we got into multiverses and just higher and higher stakes, and the comic just dragged and dragged, it took a lot more effort than I would normally need to muster to wrap it up.
