I will be the first to admit...I love all things related to the Royal Family. I had been wanting to read the Royal We for awhile now, and with the real life engagement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, I knew now was my time to dive in.

This novel follows the relationship of American college student Rebecca Porter (Bex) who goes abroad to study at Oxford. As luck would have it, she finds herself in the same dorm as Prince Nicholas of Britain. The rest of the story follows the ups and downs of being in a high profile relationship with a Royal and has a few twists and turns along the way. I also really enjoyed the surprise ending!

This book did feel 100% like royal family fan fiction and was an absolute guilty pleasure read...but I enjoyed and delighted in every minute!

Meh, not impressed with this one.

I really enjoyed this story about finding love when or where you weren't looking for it. I love all things British monarchy and a good love story, even if my brain tells me they are not real. The characters were fun and really made me think of William and Kate. I would love to see this turned into a movie. I was a little bummed at the ending but oh well....they can't all be tied up with a bow.

4.5 Stars - Kate Middleton fan fiction and I loved every minute of it. I was impressed by the depth of the characters and the themes of self identity & family, so it was not a total beach/guilty pleasure read. Recommend to those (like me) who are obsessed with the real Duchess of Cambridge and to anyone who needs a pleasant, fast-paced, not too beach-y of a beach read :)

a witty and light read.

I liked this a lot more than I thought I would, but it was way too long for me.

Look at the short turn around on my reading of this book! That should speak for itself I think. I just REALLY liked this book. Live turned off my TV, shut my computer, sat on a park bench long after the temperature remained comfortable to do that because I just wanted to spend time with Bex and everyone else in her world. I would have liked more sex and maybe less craziness towards the end, but still, the romance was superb, the friendships were meaningful and Bex was so interestingly complicated as she navigated her changing life that I'd definitely revisit this book again. If I haven't already bugged you about reading this, consider yourself bugged.

Kate Middleton fanfiction. Did not finish.

3.5 stars (I guess? It ranged between 3 and 4 stars for me, so I guess I'll take the average). I really enjoyed all the stuff at Oxford, and if this book had just been that, I probably would've given it 4-4.5 stars. But the rest of the book made me annoyed with Nick like 80% of the time, and I feel like every time there would be resolution between them or they'd be in a good place, it would jump ahead again to when they were having problems. And like, I get why you'd set up the story that way, but it made me feel like we only got to see a good relationship between them for like 20% of the book, and the rest was just them having problems and Nick being annoying or gone entirely, so it was hard to root for them. I also HATED everything to do with Freddie being into Bex.

What a great book! I love the royals so it was cool to read a fan fiction book about Kate and William and in a way foreshadowing the crazy press involved with Megan and Harry. I just adored this book. It was quite long but it went pretty quick! Can’t wait to read the second.
