I honestly just picked this up so that I could complete my 2016 goodreads reading challenge. It was a bit of a weird one in that I felt I enjoyed it (apart from the last 80 or so pages... that just felt like a rush job to put an end/drama to it) but at the same time, I felt the plot and the character development didn't deserve a high enough rating. So while I usually don't give less than 3 stars to books I didn't enjoy, I guess this will be a first on my shelf.

I actually can’t tell if I enjoyed this or hated this… maybe both?
The narrative voice in this book was pitch-perfect. LOVE. A somewhat romanticized and very fictional take on what marrying into the British monarchy might be like for an American outsider.

I've been in the mood for easy, entertaining reading lately, and this fit the bill nicely. It's a fictional story inspired by the story of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Meh. It was fine. The main character Bex kind of annoyed me honestly. Actually the majority of the characters annoyed me. It’s like the book started when they were 19 and progressed over an 8 year period where they all continued to act like they were 19. The beginning was better than the end. It wasn’t as good as I expected.
