The Royal We was a cute book.

Rebecca, aka Bex, went to Oxford and fell in love with Nick. He just happens to be the Prince of Wales. Which of course should make you think about William and Kate.. because it's basically their story. Well, someone's fanfiction version of their story. Either way it was enjoyable and cute.

Bex was adorable. I ended up really liking her before her relationship with Nick even started. Speaking of these two, their relationship was even more adorable. I liked the flow of it and how they grew to love each other.. instead of it being all instantaneous. They have a long relationship, about eight years, so it honestly made sense to make it realistic instead of just putting two and two together and make them a couple and married with 6 children and 8 dogs or something.

Their chemistry was alright - it didn't really sweep me off my feet or make me swoon. I mean, they had chemistry but it was just meh to me. Of course they try to do some normal couple stuff but those paparazzi seem to get in the way. Which if you think about it, it does tend to happen to the royal couples (especially when they were in the dating phase) but it also happens to celebrities too. I feel like I would've gotten a lot more annoyed if I was in Bex's shoes dealing with this sort of thing. I don't even like getting my picture taken... I would turn into the hulk.

Overall, it was a cute story. Definitely chick-lit material.

I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I love this book. Was it basically Kate Middleton FanFiction? Yes but I loved every second. I laughed, I cried and I gasped out loud so many times. I already want to reread it and I fell in love with all of these characters. I have to wait 6 weeks to get the next book from libby and I may die. Omg I loved this book- I am going to be devastated when I finish the next one.

Fun and sweet and perfect for post England. Only bumped to a 4 because it was definitely too long, but a good read overall!

I heard somewhere that this is just Will and Kate fanfiction and if that ain't the truth...

Lose yourself in this fun adventure of a love story.

I am convinced that this book was written entirely around the nickname Bex.

This was a 3 star book for me until the last 100ish pages and then it moved to a 4 star. I am obsessed with the Royal family and I loved this story but it was slow for me until the last third-ish of the book.

Fun "beach read" for anyone who loves all things Royal family!

A reread in 2018 in honour of the latest royal wedding.
