Is this book worth 3.5 stars or have I gone slightly dead from reading this series all at once? Who really knows.
I was actually enjoying knowing more about the lore and the motivations behind the characters for the war they were waging, although it was very info-dump style. Howeverrrrrr, it was dragging by the end. A lot.
Cas and Poppy have also lost their lustre for me. I’m so over those two and the ridiculous amount of sex they partake in, at the most ridiculous times. Like I swear; if this book was at all realistic, these two would have absolutely been caught with their pants down and murdered already.
Will I still buy the next book in the series when it comes out? Yeah probably. I haven’t wasted 15+ hours reading this whole series to not see it through. I’m not happy about it though.

Soooo much angst! The internal monologue frequently reminded me that Poppy is 19 and her brain isn't fully developed yet. Still want to know what happens next though.

I’m trying really hard to get through this series because I want to see what happens but good god the writing is killing me. It gets worse as the book goes on. I rated it a 4 because I still like the characters and want to know what happens in the story.
