Oh, Dusty Tucker the man that you are. SWOON.

I like second chance romances normally. I also am good with it normally being the parent's fault that they broke up (as in they made their child do it). I dont have respect for someone who STILL let's their parent make their life decisions even when they are 30+ years old. She had a support system in the community and losing her trust fund would not have been the end of the world compared to the way her parents treated her.
