Thoughts💭: Well, we’ve reached the final book 😢. The author’s note at the beginning was such a lovely touch, and in it, Lyla said that this book was a love letter to Rebel Blue Ranch; Lyla was not wrong about that.

The pacing of the book was just right. I find that when you read these, you don’t have to think too much, and sometimes we need something easy.

In this book, we switch between the present day and 15 years earlier, giving an insightful look into how things were for Cam and Dusty in their teenage years. I felt for Cam in regard to her upbringing, as those factors led to the events at the start of the book.

I felt for Cam regarding her beliefs about what she needed to do based on her background. She just wanted what was best for her daughter, which is what every parent wants, but she wasn’t living the life she deserved.

Dusty is such a sweetheart to those he cares about; he’s always helping others where he can. His letters throughout the story are just 🥰. I was keen to learn more about him when we saw him return home in Swift and Saddled.
