This was a bit slower paced then previous books in the serious, still a good romance where I was invested in the relationship. I laughed out loud at a couple points. My main complaint is that the conflict at the end, while resolved quickly felt like it happened for the sake of the plot cause there needed to be some kind of conflict.

AHHHHHH this one was by far my favorite in the series!!!! i usually really don’t love second chance romances but this one got me. first of all, dusty is my dream man. LITERALLY MY DREAM MAN. cowboy, cropped t shirts, longer hair than average, nose piercing and tattoos??????? lyla had me in mind when writing this, i just know it. i was so sad seeing their break up. 2 young kids that didn’t know what the world was really like. it was SUPA cute. did think it was kinda random she wanted dusty to come with her to the event (w her parents) but i didn’t mind cause we got the motel after that 🤪🤪🤪🤪
for how short the book is, i liked the pacing and how much into their past we got to see.

in rewind it back, it’s such a big book compared to this one- hence why we go so much deeper in rio and hallie’s past. i would have loved to see that here but the whole series isn’t 10000 pages in each book. so for the size, i think there was the perfect amount of everything!!

These books are the perfect palate cleansers between bigger/more intense books. This one wasn’t the best one, but it was cute. The little mini breakup at the end annoyed me pretty bad- it was just so unnecessary.
