zusak’s writing as always is gorgeous. his writing about women? not so great. i also think the ending could’ve been better especially when it came to ritchie and audrey.

I am the Messenger is an interesting read. It had humour, angst (young adult angst), tension, adventure, violence, young love, and a little mystery. I enjoyed this YA novel, although there were a few parts that I didn’t like (one of the first messages, for example).

I really like Zusak’s writing and this one didn’t disappoint. It was a nice story and enjoyed it throughout, but felt the ending was rushed.
This author kept popping up on book club lists (usually for The Book Thief), but I liked the premise of this book better. I really got involved with the characters, and would definitely recommend it.
This was beautiful. It really got to me. I'm going to be thinking about this one for a long time. I'll have to come back and do a real review later.
Words can't describe how much I love this book. The writing was really good and I love the message of it. I saw people saying that the ending was a big disappointment, but I love it anyway. I think Markus did a really great job at the ending. It really blew my mind and gives me goosebump over it. I really enjoyed this emotional ride and you should definitely read this too.
