I absolutely loved this story! The characters, the plot and the flowing of the story made this book a great read!
This is the first book in the new standalone-interconnected series by Evey Lyon and it starts with one unforgettable one nightstand between Hudson and much younger entrepreneur Piper and what was supposed to be a one time deal becomes so much more after Piper finds out that Hudson its not only her best friend's uncle but also a famous football coach.
This age gap/ slightly forbidden romance is entertaining, steamy and with many swoon worthy moments. Hudson is definitely bookboyfriend material, his patience and understanding towards Piper's feelings and doubts is just so good because he knows what he wants and he wants is her, in his life, in his bed and in his future, something he never wanted before and he'll do anything to convince Piper that their love is worth the risk.

This story was so much fun and I loved the steam. but the relationship between Hudson and Piper was really strong, they really connected to each other emotionally and not just sexually
I liked the concept of this and I especially loved Hudson. Piper’s avoidance of all things sports got a little annoying, but overall this was cute and I want to continue with the series.

While it wasn't 5 stars for me, I did love this book. Originally starting this book, I was concerned that it would be a fade to black romance, but I was genuinely happy to find the spice. Piper and Hudson were adorable together. I will have to read April and Spencer's story soon as well.

3.5✨I enjoyed the read for the most part, but honestly I feel like there were too many sex scenes of the length of this book and it got annoying. I feel like it kind of took away from some of the storyline and the seriousness they tried to include. I kind of wish there was a little more conflict between Hudson and Piper.

This was a fantastically romantic and steamy age gap read! Hudson, a coach of a professional football team, happens to be in the right place at the right time to run into Piper escaping her exhausting day. Their is instant chemistry even with the age difference and the best thing is that Piper has no idea who Hudson is. They share one steamy encounter and think that is the end until a twist of fate throws them together again. They can't stay away from each other even with the risk of public exposure. This was a fantastic, sweet, romantic, steamy read that I absolutely loved!

I am so glad I found this author. I got lucky to receive an ARC of the newest release and I wanted to go back and read some of the books before it to get a feel for the characters. To say I'm anxious to read that ARC now is an understatement. Anyway, back to THIS book.
This follows Piper and Hudson. Hudson is a coach for the NFL and technically old enough to be Piper's father. So, there is a decent age gap.
They first meet at a bar and have an unforgettable one-night stand. They meet again later when they are introduced to each other. Turns out, Piper is Hudson's niece's best friend. From there they meet up again and quickly realize they can't get enough of each other. It's a balancing act to keep things quiet and for them to figure out how they really feel. When Hudson decides he's in, he's really ALL in. Piper takes a little while longer to come around. I was sitting here cheesy grinning throughout most of the book. It's a quick, easy, mostly light read with some serious steam. I wasn't expecting that either, but I am so happy about it.
This is low angst and low drama, in my opinion. The factors that our characters are challenged with make perfect sense and the small conflicts they have are understandable. It was honestly refreshing to read a book like this. No real third breakup and no other woman or man drama. It felt realistic and entirely relatable (not to me personally) for someone IRL.
I'm immediately jumping into the next one and will be binging the author's backlist.
