What if one night to forget your problems turns into more? What if the person you find yourself falling for is related to your best friend? What if you find yourself willing to risk it all?
Piper Dapper owns her own boutique brand lingerie business and finds herself needing to get her life straight. When she has a one night tryst with a man who’s just old enough to be her father, she figures she’ll never see him again, and no one will be the wiser. She spills enough to her best friend April, but what happens when she sees that man at April’s engagement party?
Coach Hudson Arrows gives in to an agreement of one night with Piper, but can’t get her out of his mind. When he sees her again at his nieces engagement, all the feelings he’s been holding in come straight to the surface. He offers for her to come out to his home in Lake Sparks after his son gets married, and despite her trepidations, she agrees.
When they get to know each other better, Hudson knows he’s in it for the long haul. He’s ready to be committed to something outside of his career. Piper, however, is still young. Her heart knows what it wants, but her mind is lagging behind. At every turn, everyone around her can see she’s finally finding her true happiness…everyone but her. So can Hudson convince her that it’s worth everything to be together for a lifetime?

This was my first book by Evey and it will not be my last! I absolutely loved this one. This was sweet, spicy, angsty, and funny all wrapped into one.
"You're making the stars jealous"
I really liked Piper. I felt for her in the predicament of keeping her secret from her best friend April but Hudson wanting to go public. I also really liked Hudson. I liked how he was a different person when he was with Piper. He basically left his coaching job at the door when he came home to her if that makes sense. His personality was totally different when he was with her than it was when he was on the field. He was so sweet and caring, not only to himself but to his family as well.
I highly recommend this book!
Thank you to Evey Lyon and WordSmith Publicity for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
