The beginning is fun an totally relatable for kids, but there’s a funny twist mid-way. I love how Alan evolves.

I liked all the color in the illustrations. Cute story. Especially the last page. Read for grad school for my Lit & Resources for Children class.

A hilarious book that is sure to be a read aloud hit about an alligator who loves his big, scary teeth and finds himself in a pickle when said teeth go missing.

Very cute and fun with vivid illustrations featured throughout. I like the clever deal that Alan works out with the other animals, finding useful jobs for his teeth as well as a more friendly manner of scaring.

This is one of Charlotte's Amazon picture books. Alan the alligator has big sharp teeth that he likes to use to scare the other animals in the jungle, but it turns out that they're dentures. When his teeth are stolen, Alan has to figure out who he is without his scary teeth. The other animals feel sorry for him and agree to return the teeth if Alan promises to no longer scare them.
The moral is okay. Pictures are nice. It's just not anything special to me. Or to Charlotte by the looks of it.
Also, the linguist in me is irritated that the author, when representing Alan's altered speech without his teeth, subs in the 'th' sound a lot, which is made by putting your tongue between your upper and lower teeth...so not a sound a toothless person could say. Small detail. Annoyed me a ton.
