Broken was beautiful and heart breaking. I loved Jag's character and hated what had happened to him. But I also loved watching him find himself again and get over his brokenness. Michael's character was also so very sweet and I adored how he cared for Jag.

Im not usually into audiobooks, but this story sounded great in Piers Ryman voice. There was a bit of unnecessary emphasis in swear words, but the rhythm made the reading all the more entertaining.

About the Story (Kindle Edition):
Sweet, dramatic, arousing and addictive. It was an adventure getting to know Jag and Michael, how their relationship developed, their ups and downs, along with the mental scars they each had. I liked how Colette described each scene with a detailed, elegant yet grahic style. Well constructed and realistic, Heaven and Hell is a place I'm eager to keep exploring.

Definitely a high recommendation to read this book!
Right from the start I was fully engaged with the story of both men. Jag is a bit of a mystery, information from his past revealed only as and when needed but his loneliness shines through. Michael is a clear caregiver and protector, providing his staff with great pay and work conditions as well as his friendly and easy going nature. Their attraction is instant but a lot of work for both men and it makes for an entertaining and involving read. You can't help but fall for Jag, needing him to get a HEA and Michael seems to be the one that could possibly make it happen. Their times together make for a hot read as well as the times that Jag is dancing. Colette has such a way of describing the moments that it's as though you could be there watching and feeling the moment right along with the characters.
There's a great cast of characters around the MC's with Mac being the main guy that both talk to and he's a good source of friendship, support as well as a good talking to. The club that the story is set in sounds like a great place that is clearly enjoyed by the staff and customers as well as a future series with an array of possibilities!
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

I liked a lot some parts of this book, particularly at the end, but others felt like they dragged endlessly and make me want to quit.

I find both MCs likeable, and easy to understand, but I can't feel the chemistry between them, so the romance itself did nothing for me. And even when I understand why the author chooses the word 'submissive' in the contexts she did when talking from Jag's POV, its use kept throwing me out of the story.

Nevertheless, it is a good story, interesting and with a great ending.

I might be in the minority on this book, I loved Michael from the first page but Jag, well he had t grow on me and it took almost the entire book for that to happen. IMHO, I thought how he acted that there was going to be something worse that happened to him when he was younger. Both men are broken in their own ways, Michael seemed more put together though, not sure if it was the age difference or what, but Jag seemed to be struggling more throughout the book. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the story, it is a great story that builds a sweet relationship between these two broken men.
This was my first book by this author, I loved the writing style.

You know what, I absolutely loved reading this - it was emotional it was cute it was adorable it was sweet it was intense it was just everything you want in a book - I thought perhaps maybe Jag's climax could have been a bit more interesting but honestly I wasn't mad at any of it .. and beautiful writing - I'll definitely be getting more of this authors work
