I’m disappointed that the only book I’ve read about a PhD student includes harassment and assault. Very common in academia, but the book doesn’t condemn it . It has instead become a large part of its appeal.

I liked the science background to the cute romcom. would be a 4 or higher if I didn’t find the main character annoying. also all the ‘im so small im literally tiny and he’s so big’ was unnecessary and unfortunately throughout

An absolutely lovely adventure from start to finish. Perfect for the subset of hopelessly romantic STEM folk. I saw a lot of myself in both main characters, and this just perfectly captured so many emotions and nuances so authentically on the academia backdrop.

DNF at page 204.

I don't dnf books a lot, but I just couldn't take another page of this book.
I just couldn't keep reading about how tall and muscular the main love interest was... Seriously like every two sentences she mentions his height. Like I get it, he's tall. You don't need to keep mentioning it.

Anyway I can understand why other people like this book, but it's just not for me I guess...
