another excellent book from lockhart. the storytelling is amazing and i can feel myself transported into the world of beechwood. the emotions are raw and the twist is heart wrenching but satisfying. loved this book and cannot wait to read the next.

The twist in this book was not as jarring/shocking as in we were liars, but I still really liked it. It felt really familiar and similar enough to we were liars.

I had to pick this one up after finished We were liars book plus show and it didn’t disappoint!! I honestly was very locked into this book and finished it all within a day (mainly bc i got hyper fixated on it from the first book and was glad to have more crumbs). E. Lockhart is an amazing book writer!

Where do I start? First of all Beechwood island is the best setting for a summer read. The characters are some of my favs. This book didn’t make me cry like ‘We were liars’ did but i’m not mad about it because it left me with feeling happy for Carrie. The story throughout shows a beautiful story of grief and how Carrie deals with losing her sister and son too soon. I honestly really enjoyed this book !
