This story was better than the first but still seems a bit over drawn and rushed.

I loved to see how the story ended and Walsh and Kerris got they were waiting for after what seemed like forever but baby was it a MESSY ride!

I love Kennedy Ryan as an author and would read any and everything else writes.

These first two stories just fell a little short for me but I will continue on to see how Cam and Sophie’s stories end.

I loved the journey that these characters went on, and I loved the conclusion to their story.

Loved it. Can't think of something I didn't like. The tension between them was perfect. Like these first 2 books. Gonna read the next one but not in a rush. Don't feel like reading the fourth due to who it's about.

Trigger warnings:
Spoilerchildhood sexual abuse, parental abandonment, miscarriage, death of loved ones

The second half of Kerris and Walsh's love story edges into melodrama territory, with Kerris trying to make her marriage to Cam work, Cam failing to live up to his promise that he'd love Kerris even if she didn't love him as much as he loved her, and Walsh growing increasingly reluctant to keep his belief that he and Kerris are soul mates to himself. Watching these three try to reconcile duty and feelings is deeply painful, especially when several
Spoilerdeaths of loved ones
exacerbate past traumas. This is a romance, though, so there is ultimately a happy ending, at least for Kerris and Walsh.

I'm glad that book 3 focuses on Cam; though we don't get his POV here, and he often acts like a jerk towards Kerris, it's hard not to feel sorry for him, being left with the short end of the relationship stick.
