Depression and attempted suicide

I really want to thank the author for including the trigger warning and the number to call if you do feel suicidal. I've been that empty and lost. He struggles but Lincoln conquers his darkness in a really profound way.

I’m so frustrated!

Spoiler alert!! I thought I was getting the continuation from where the writer left off with Brielle last. That’s not what this is at all. This is really what happened to Lincoln while Brielle was in Hell. I wish the author would have combined the two books into one that shifted between the two. I didn’t need a his/her view of the same year. Honestly, I already knew the majority of what happened to Lincoln from reading Brielle’s side. I’m looking forward to Year 4 and hope the writer doesn’t do anything like this again. I love the characters and want to read how this ends. Happy reading y’all.

The first half of this novella was a bit difficult to get through - it was the year Lincoln was without Brielle, which was depressing and… well…. It didn’t contain Bri! Once Lincoln got to San Francisco, it ticked up in mood, action, and closer to the current timeline of the rest of the series. When Lincoln and Brielle reunited? *chef’s kiss*
