Love seeing where Snow and Bigby find themselves! Even Charming wasn’t a total menace in this one!

That's it. I'm officially hooked!!! I enjoyed the shit out of this one. So much diversity and awesome twists. I never really got sold on the happily ever after thing when I used to read fairy tales as a kid. I mean come the fuck on happily every after??? Yeah right. Or I was probably a really cynical child lmao. This comic is perfect for those of us who always wondered what happened after happily ever after. Guess I know now, and I fucking love it. Ahem. Anyways, I'm so completing all the 19 volumes now. Volume 4,here I cooooomeee!

March 2024: This gets docked in the rating because I don't like Jack, and even though the story included here is not quite as irritating as some other ones, I would always rather read about anyone else.

The main story is good. I am glad to see the beginnings of Snow and Bigby being together, even though I had forgotten just how long it takes for them to finally, really get together.

This is one of those volumes, though, where not a lot happens. It's mostly setting pieces in place for the next big thing, plus a few one off issues.

There were some plot problems with this issue, but I enjoyed seeing Bluebeard and Prince Charming's characters develop as both men became increasingly aware of their own flaws and reacted to that knowledge.

As far as the central romance goes, the final scene between Bigby and Snow was frustrating and felt cheap. Surprise pregnancies in fiction usually seem like gimmicky attempts to throw a couple together, and "a magic potion made us do it in a tent and then forget about it" explanation doesn't improve much. I'm hoping that better things lie ahead.

Whew, this book was creepy! I liked it, but there were several places that I wasn't really satisfied with what happened (especially concerning my favorite 'ship!). I'm interested to see how it all pans out in the fourth volume, but... let's put this under a spoiler warning, shall we?

SpoilerI did not like how they got Bigby and Snow to hook up. VERY unsatisfactory! I wanted them to be together because they realized they were perfect for each other on their own! Not because they were under some enchantment and now have a freaking BABY! Ugh. Not cool Fables. Not. Cool. Also, I am so not convinced that Goldilocks is dead. I will believe it when I see a body and not before! Super creepy. Same goes for Bluebeard (even though we did technically see a body, but I just have a hard time believing that he came to such an unsatisfactory end).

Anyway, having said all that, the story was actually pretty good, I LOVED the Mouse Police! :) And I'm already jumping right into Volume Four!
