I liked book 2 MUCH more than book 1, there are aspects of this book I wish were less rigid. Also I basically cringe everytime they say “female”

This book is what I expected Maas to write. There was a more shocking plot and the

slow burn romance

was perfect for my tastes. The political aspect of the book is similar to fourth wing 🙌.

This book was SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE FIRST ONE!!!!

The found family aspect, the banter, the love story. Everything was *chefs kiss* 

I’m so happy I powered through, the world building was so beautiful. I wanna live here without all the mortal peril and war and crap. Just to hang out 💁‍♀️

Side note: Tamlin, rot in hell, blondie. I hate your face, your guts, and your audacity.

This book is a definite improvement from the first one. The author still needs a better editor and could benefit from some grammar courses (like the first book there is a severe overuse of em dashes and full on incomplete sentences). The last 50 or so pages make me forgive a lot- the story is not well written but it is really captivating and it  makes me want to keep reading the series.
