Nicely written but never really grabbed me. It’s a coming of age story set around squash courts.

I feel so conflicted with this one because on one hand the writing is stunning but on the other I don’t give a flying fuck about squash apart from it being a vegetable

I took a long time to get into and through this little one, but when I finally sat down to read the last half I was completely enraptured. It captures the feeling of a long blue night of summer with your sisters, knock-kneed on an empty court, waiting for something.
