Such a cute short story! I never really disliked Lila in Pushing the Limits but it was so great to see a short story with her as the main character, she's brilliant. I loved her and Lincoln together so much.

3.5 STARS!

It was short, sweet and adorable. I wish there was a longer book about their relationship. I want to see more of them in college. That would be great.

It was very old fashion, classical falling in love through letters. I found that really nice, knowing that still happened even in the 21st century. I also enjoyed that the author brought up Noah and Echo, and not just leaving them behind. Great book :)

Nope, this wasn't for me. This felt like it started right in the middle of a story rather than the beginning. From the very first page, Lila and Lincoln were already in love and thus, it was kind of difficult to connect with and care for their relationship since we missed the entire build-up. The whole thing felt flat and without real depth.

Not to mention, there is some sort of drama going on between Lila and Lincoln which we only come to understand until later on. It was very confusing. Therefore I would like to give anyone who does intend to read this novella a heads up: Lila is angry at Lincoln for lying to her about not graduating High School.
This way you are not in the same position as me, thinking Lila is mad because Lincoln messaged her online instead of through letters. I know, sounds ridiculous, but that is honest to God what I was led to believe. Very odd writing.

It's kind of disappointing that Lila didn't get a better story since I really liked her as Echo's best friend in [b:Pushing the Limits|10194514|Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1)|Katie McGarry|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1322770025l/10194514._SY75_.jpg|15093690]. Maybe that is all her character was cut out for: playing the best friend. But I don't think so. I think this novella was rushed and could have been better.

My review for the original book:
Pushing the Limits - 4.5 stars

It was far too short (as most novellas seem to be) but quite adorable. It was really a tiny story about finding yourself with the help of someone you trust and understand inherently. I loved the way Echo, Noah and Grace were delicately woven in as well. Penpal stories that grow into love just make me squeal in satisfaction. You learn about the inside of the person and fall in love with who they are before you ever see them, and I just love that aspect. I only wish we could know more about Lincoln and Lila, but I think I can content myself in knowing that they will be happy and together.

Oh my Gosh, this was just beautiful, stunning, lovely, everything else wonderful~. I loved Lincoln, I loved Lila (already from the previous book, but this one made me love her even more). The letters and their love were so sweet, so beautiful. I am kind of sad it was over so soon. And that you can't buy this book in paperback (I would love to have it on my bookshelf, together with probably the whole series since I am really considering buying them all).

I would really recommend this book to everyone who read Pushing The Limits. :)

Not as good as the full novels, but I think it's probably because we didn't get to see the whole getting-to-know-each-other-and-falling-in-love process, rather getting in after all that's done and now all there's left is getting a few things out of the way.
Also, I hated how Lila was. I SO get her fear, but geez, stop crying "I can't do it I can't do it..."
Good thing Lincoln snapped her out of it.
Also, since reading Attachments I love that name lol.

This was a nice little short novella in the Pushing the Limits universe. I thought it had the potential to be a full-length novel, and would actually like to see more with Lila and Lincoln in the future. Anyway, now I really have to wait until my library has a copy of Crash Into You available so I can finish the currently-published works in this series.

After finishing Pushing the Limits, I had to read another book, or in this case a novella, by Katie McGarry. I wanted to stay in this world and with the characters she had created and I enjoyed reading about Lila, Echo's best friend and her beau Lincoln.

It was a nice additional read to the actual story and I liked it. But it wasn't as good as Pushing the Limits. It was a novella and not a 400 page novel, so it is understandable.

The theme of her thinking: "I love him, but he couldn't possibly love me back" and vice versa, will be a recurring one in the next few books and I wasn't a big fan of that one. But that just was a small part that kind of irked me. I still enjoyed reading about Lila and Lincoln and I will definitely enjoy reading the rest of the books in the series.
