Romantic slightly cloying poetic Volume..I love Pablo Neruda writing but I got abit bugged down in all the comparisons of women to fruit and wanting to eat them up... Maybe it was the translator, just ok, got a bit repetitive the way the collection was organized

I've never seen the film these poems are from, and I must admit I was largely unmoved by the last, long poem about the sea. But Neruda's writing on beauty, love, and intimacy is exquisite: 'the moon lives in the lining of your skin'.
