Little book of gorgeous poems. A great introduction to Neruda, and very interesting to see the original text next to the translation.

I don't need to tell anyone that Neruda writes beautiful poetry. I wish that I was a fluent Spanish-speaker, because I feel that as beautiful as these poems are in English, they would be lovelier still when spoken as they were originally written. Individually, each poem in this collection is lovely - sensuous and fluid. I just found the compilation itself to be a bit repetitive.
