Not Quite Narwhal is a really cute book about understanding that it's okay to be different and celebrating that not everyone is the same and honestly its really sweet.

About finding your place, when you are different. Being accepted for who you are.

The illustrations are just so beautifully rendered with so many funny little details in this book. My preschooler and I just bored over the double spreads noticing all the funny things and thinking how cute everything was. The color scheme is perfect, and the light embossing and typography really set up a beautiful package. I wish I could live in this world. I love how Kelp (yes, his name is Kelp, guys) comes up with a clever solution to loving so many people so much.
