I have to admit that over the years I had grown a little tired of Georgia Nicholson. Don't get me wrong, the description of Georgia shaving her eyebrows in [book: Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging] remains to funny that I stopped and read it aloud to friends this year at the Printer's Row book fair. The story had grown thin for me by the time I got to book 5 or 6; a third love interest had been added to the mix, a thoroughly uninteresting Italian named "Massimo." The books only really got moving during scenes with Dave the Laugh. I only skimmed the 7th book in the series when I first read it, but then the final cliffhanger gave me hope, and book 8, [book: Love is a Many Trousered Thing] was awesome! I bought it the day it was released, sat down to start reading it while waiting to go to a party, and ended up skipping the party to finish the book. You don't need to read the other books to enjoy this one; in fact, I would recommend NOT trying to read the entire series in a row. This, however, is the strongest outing in several books for Georgia. Can't wait for 9.
These books are not nearly as funny as the first, but they are a great light read. I've been reading lots of "heavy" books lately so enjoyed it enough.
loved these when i was younger, listening via audio for comfort
still hilarious after so many books, now i must find a copy of the last book!
: It was a hoot and a half and I believe Georgia beats ADM in the dimness factor: ITS DAVE THE TART YOU LOON
