The series continues. I really like the way Jones portrays Selina and I hope to read much more.
The main baddie is SO cool!

I was disappointed that more of this volume wasn’t illustrated by Jones. The guest artists were fine, but Jones’ work is something else.

The story was fine, but I didn’t care for it, and honestly, it’s completely forgettable. I read this a little less than a week ago and I’ve forgotten a lot of the details. Something about a relic that requires blood sacrifice and the villain being very one-dimensionally villain-y.

I also didn’t care at all for the annual issue’s story of Catwoman taking in a bunch of young women and teaching them to steal. It wasn’t anything special at all.

This series has been disappointing as a whole, if I’m being honest. I had high hopes as I love Jones’ artwork and I love that a female writer is taking on Catwoman, but it’s been very meandering so far. I don’t think it helps that this is sort of a spin-off to Tom King’s Batman which I’ve been loving, as I keep unconsciously comparing it to that.

I don’t know if this series is still on-going (I think it is? It left things off on quite the cliffhanger), but I’ll probably only give it one more volume to win me over.

A somewhat fun romp through Catwoman’s new life outside of Gotham. It has some amazing action scenes that peek out of the meandering plot that has an unnecessary Gotham villain along for the ride. I will say that it’s got one of my favorite comic covers for issue #10 that I’ve seen in a long while. It makes me really yearn for a more fun and campy Catwoman story. The grittiness in this installment seems.... a bit dull? I will say that I would love to see more of ‘Carlitos’ in the future

Jones drew most if not all of the first volume of this series and while that is historically unsustainable she is still one of my favorite artists working and, her brilliant covers aside, and while the replacement artists are somewhere between good and great there is still an absence. That said, Jones still has a fine handle on Catwoman and her world and seems to find the noir even as our antihero has relocated to Villa Hermosa from Gotham.

Pretty disappointing, convoluted storyline and a lot of cliche lines (which was an issue with the first volume). This is very much plot-driven instead of character-driven, which is bad bc the plot was all over the place and like...too whacky and messy.
