My husband and I listened to this book together during our road trip. Surprisingly, I enjoyed this book (the movie never caught my attention before). I liked how in depth Puzo described his characters and I loved that "family" was important even though the Corleones were killers. It was graphic at times but not enough to deter me.

Holy cow this was not good. The plot line on vaginas rejuvenation (eye roll). From reading this I assume the author and, in his opinion, the entirety of his subject hates women... deeply.

Mario Puzo didn't think this was a great book, and maybe it isn't, if you haven't watched the movie. I see no reason why anyone would put the former before the latter now, and by following good judgment and being carried along by the acting and sensibility of Coppola's Godfather, even the pussy tightening scene here takes on an artsy quality of its own.
