Michel Fiffe is a legend for this. It surprised me in a few ways and was overall enjoyable. Fiffe is so talented at making comics though it goes from a 4/10 to a 6.

Every once in a while Marvel or DC lets an artist become head writer for a popular book. Sometimes, you're surprised at how good a storyteller the artist it. You shouldn't be. Artists are as an integral part to a comic book story as the writer is. Panel placement, when to break it, the coloring, the cross-hatching, the level of anatomical correctness, and how detailed to make the background are as important as the dialog and the overall plot.

But sometimes, DC or Marvel lets an artist become head writer for a popular book, and it's unreadably awful.

I enjoy Michal Fiffe's art. And his work as a writer/artist on Copra is great.

This is a four star art book with a negative two story. Which, ok, makes sense. Bloodstrike was a Rob Liefeld developed title, and he's a divisive figure as an artist, but I think even fans of his art agree that his writing is, at best, subpar. And the story here is subsubpar. The dialog is a string of catchphrases and misogyny that seem like they might tangentally relate to the story in some way. And, given that Fiffe is capable of writing perfectly coherent and interesting superhero comics, it seems like he's done this disjointed mess on purpose.

It didn't make this any fun to read.
