Oi, miten ihana kirja! Oon lukenut Henrylta aikaisemmin "Lomalla kaikki on toisin", joka ei ollut ihan oma juttuni, eikä romanttinen kirjallisuus yleensäkään ole, mutta tässä suurin osa jutuista meni oikein nappiin ja oikeasti nautin tästä kevyestä hömppäkirjasta, joka on taitavasti kirjoitettu.

Ehkä tällaisella kirjasomekielellä tämä kirja on rivals to lovers ja pikkukaupunkiromanssi. Tavallaan myös työpaikkaromanssi, vaikka tässä työpaikalla viittaan vaan kirjabisnesmaailmaan. Kemiaa päähenkilöiden välillä todella on ja välillä se saa potkimaan jalkoja.

Ja tietenkin ihana sisaruussuhde, josta tuli lisää syvyyttä kirjaan. Surun eri muodot ja toisesta huolehtiminen ovat sisarusjuonen kantavia teemoja.

I'm really trying to love Emily Henry because she gets such good reviews but I feel like I haven't completely clicked with her yet. I thought You and Me On Vacation was fairly average and while I liked this one well enough, I never felt that invested in the romance which is what I was hoping for. However I listened to the audiobook which was very good and definitely heightened my experience so I think maybe I'll still try Beach Read and Funny Story in the same format.

This is the second Emily Henry book I’ve read. I preferred Beach Read. Found this one a bit disappointing, leaning heavily on character tropes but not committing enough to turn them on their heads. Found the characters and their issues over dramatized and hard to relate to. GREAT sex scenes tho.

I laughed, I bawled, I cried happy tears!! 5 ⭐️ No notes! I love Nora and Charlie and Libby and just how real they are and so happy it all turned out!! This book is why I read romance books!!!
