I know I'm no longer in the YA audience, so this book didn't really stand much of a chance against me. I did really enjoy the cultural aspects of the book which made it more relatable (for me, at least), but the storyline? It all happened within the space of a week and half - max, which is just absolutely wild, in my opinion. Maybe it was marketed as an insta-love plot and I missed it.
I also agree with the other reviews that mention this story being similar to a Hallmark movie, which isn't a bad thing, necessarily. I suppose it suits when the season is taking place (Mid-Autumn Festival).

Picked up because it was a cute cover. Didn't realize what it was about, and decided I'm not actually interested in reading.
This was cute but I didn’t feel like they spent enough time together to have all of these feelings. Also I might be too old for high school romances bc I kept thinking what are you going to do when you’re long distance for college
i would give this a solid 3.5
i read this in two days after a very long reading slump - it was exactly what i needed. for the most part it was adorable and had me squealing more than once throughout the story. it wasn't without it's faults though, especially with the way the conflicts were laid out. i thought a few of the little quarrels they had were kind of annoying to read about, and i also felt that the resolutions left much to be desired. the writing was really great at times, but not so great at others. i did love the cultural references, and there were many highlightable quotes to reflect on.
