I love the fact that they include cultural facts about Chinese heritage but the story it self felt really insta-love and everything seems to resolve really fast and with money which I did not like. I felt like they mention Theo’s wealth every chance they get

It's cute. Fast and easy to read. Not really dramatic, so very relaxing and lighthearted.

No notes what a lovely book made me kick my feet and giggle and tear up at how cute it was. First thing I did after finishing it was recommended it to my best friend everyone should read this

The writing in this book of clunky. There is exposition stuck in after every character is introduced like in a Disney Channel Original. The main character is shown as so quirky with his puns and funny shirts that read as once again a Disney Channel movie in 2010. 
The fake dating didn’t make any sense.
They both clearly like each other and there is no reason Theo doesn’t just ask for them to go to the wedding together. Also the money dynamic is something that is never called out as concerning but it definitely should be. There is also nothing in this book about the couple being gay which is weird because it is supposed to be taking place in American in the semi-present. Not a single family member is weird? Or at least weird about the economic difference. Except for the comical villains that are all reformed by the end and in a simple way. All the other side character too are also just that side characters with no development or any will to do anything besides further the plot, help the MC or make stupid cliche comments that I would expect to see in a Wattpad fan fiction
