As the genre goes, this is a great youthful gay romance novel. It was nice seeing all the Brooklyn-neighborhoods represented as well as making the protagonist a working-class kid from an immigrant family. I really thought it was a sweet novel.

I was taken on journey of Asian culture and romance between 2 gorgeous young men , attracted to each other from the start, both have different lifestyles, one has the fortunes of his family successes whilst the other is rich in family and historical values. Both with their own stories to tell.
The food description’s made my mouth water from moon cakes to egg fried rice honey chicken and so much more. The romance was so beautifully told.

If your an Asian foodie , a dog lover, a romantic , or simply want to have nose at 2 ends of the spectrum families bought together. This read has something for everyone.

Loved loved love this book!! It's my new comfort read

Exceedingly cute!! This was exactly the light confection of fluff, pining, family, cooking, and sweet romance that I needed. Dylan is too good for this world and deserves all the nice things! I love how close he is with his aunt and cousins, and how they all work hard to support each other and keep the business going. Theo is incredibly kind and has a good head on his shoulders; yes, he can be extravagant and sometimes oversteps, but he never tries to make Dylan change. Their fake dating leads to real feelings, as well as some real family drama, but no matter what, Theo never gives up on Dylan. My favorite part of the book is the representation of Chinese and Singaporean culture and traditions. Theo grew up feeling alienated from his mom's family and culture, but Dylan and his family are quick to welcome him in and share their stories, food, and knowledge with him. I loved getting to see their bond grow deeper as they worked together to make mooncakes. From start to finish, this book is a delight! I think the cover perfectly captures the vibes of the story and the characters -- fun, sweet, and diverse. Highly recommend!

I loved reading about the Chinese culture and their stories. But to me this just kind of meh/ok. There are a lot of description about this damn mooncake which at lengths I found boring.

i truly loved it. No complaints. a cute love story with a great meet cute. Loved the way they show grief. in the earlier part of the story there were explanations about a lot of cultural things. I guess they were important, and did give some context but could have been even without. Crazy rich asian vibes with teenage boys ❤️
