Super fun and easy read. Couldn't put it back down. Both main characters are neurodivergent (especially autism) coded, and struggle to fit in. I'm not American nor old enough to know about those times so I can't tell anything regarding if the portrayal of those times is correct or not but I didn't struggle imagining anything in this book. It almost felt like watching a movie.
My only issue with the book is (not related to plot but i'm still using the spoiler tag)
is when Elizabeth didn't wanted to use ready made soup because "it's full of chemicals" that sentence felt extremely out of character to me for a chemist and bugged me a little too much. Everything is made out of chemicals? Also I think somebody like Elizabeth would appreciate inventio s who would help her save time.
Other than that I have zero issues with this book, one of my favorites reads of this year actually.
