Empowering and enlightening! To see Elizabeth defy her odds and get through her challenges is exciting and also emotional. Also being a science nerd this is a lot of fun to read and chuckle at the humor of how serious us science folk take ourselves.
Read this in a week! Easy read especially being a mom of two toddlers!

This book had potential, but Elizabeth Zott doesn’t feel like a realistic character rather a conglomeration of female scientists and women’s rights activists. I did enjoy the parts of the book from Six Thirty’s perspective. Mad is a naturally precocious child. I was also irritated by Elizabeth’s inability to articulate her feelings and just let things pass, like her behavior at the funeral. Overall there were things I enjoyed like her neighbor and her producer’s characters, but I was also annoyed by Elizabeth’s behavior at times. I did enjoy the ending and how it all wrapped up neatly.
Love the idea, liked the story, but felt uncomfortable most of the time. Something was off and, once I was done, I felt like it almost...dismissive? of the Me Too aspects. That's maybe not the right word, but it felt glossed over and wrapped up neatly. I get the appeal, but it wasn't my fave.
