Hit or miss vignettes

Each chapter felt like its own story complete with its own tone from sinister Calvin and Hobbes, to teen ennui, or Lex Luther waxing philosophical. Some hits, some misses, but as a whole felt less than the sum of its parts.

I wish it had stayed with the character as a child instead of skipping around. There’s lots of good stuff here, but it doesn’t establish any kind of plot or structure.

But it is very nice to see real fear inducing science fiction in a comic book.
