Omgg this took me forever.
The other two weren’t great but this?
Ooooh my goood, I had to force myself to finish it. And even then I put it off bc I simply did not care about any of them or the plot or how it ends.
I skimmed the last 30% bc I just couldn’t.
It put me in such a bad reading slump I’ve watched Rings of Power, all of the Hobbits and currently on the extended, half way through Fellowship of the Ring bc this book put me off from reading.
Is the writing bad? Not really.
Is the plot good? Not really.
Are the characters at least good and interesting? Not really.
I can’t think of anything I liked about this book. I’m giving it a 1 bc of how hard it was for me to finish and I’m angry for ending up in a reading slump.
I’m sorry. The other two were kinda ok to kill time, but this just kept dragging on and the plot felt made up to just stretch it into a trilogy when it could’ve been 1, maybe 2 books tops.

This was a very underwhelming book to read. I think my expectations were quite high based on the past two books in the  trilogy , however, I will say that the ending in a way it’s bittersweet yet has me yearning for more. I do feel like some parts of the story were very unnecessary as well as others being very rushed. The trial itself was difficult to read because there were moments that I felt were either missing more critical information or moments that were not needed within the story. Overall, the book was a wonderful read. There were moments where I was laughing out loud, moments, where I was crying my eyes out, and moments where I just could not the very next part of the book. I wish there was a fourth book to this series that went into other characters and their story arcs, as well as maybe a little bit more of the human versus demon relationship.
