Brilliant, there is no other word to describe this book (except painful, maybe). Just when I thought Meatbun couldn't write a better book than volume 3 for this series, this one came and destroyed me in a thousand pieces. We finally have the truth (most of it), and Gu Mang (I give him all my love) is definitely one of the strongest and most hurt characters I've ever read about. What happened in the past truly surprised me; I wasn't expecting these brutal revelations. Remnants of Filth is a real masterpiece!

The angst! This series really delights in causing heartache. If only the author had given it more time to mature. The present-day storyline is entirely oriented towards the past so far, with the reveals happening by means of increasingly convoluted magical artifacts the author keeps pulling out of their ass. Could have been a masterpiece.
